The sky has been difficult but with the BWM and the Nikon D5500 I am having heaps of fun...roll it out and catch what I can.

The Moon was up so I was surprised at the result.

This was an experiment trying extremes...200mm FL, 6400 iso and 18 second subs.

Only managed about 40 because the cloud covered it once I got rolling.

Stacked in Deep Sky Stacker and processed in Startools Photoshop and Gimp (minimal).

I think that's a wonderful image Alex.
Was it from your dark site? I would love to see the same image at say iso400, but then that would be a few hours in equivalent total exposure terms.

A nice catch there Alex, dont often see these two in the same field due to their separation. You have picked up the Burger Gal's Dust lane well, its a fine result, not sure if the Glob could do with some desaturation but a nice perspective given of the scene here

Hi JA
Yes shot at Tabby.
The clouds were rolling in and out so I had to be quick.
Although it is a simple set up I have much to learn but I am so happy to get so much given the high iso and long fl.
Thank you for your kind words.

Hi Bob
The glob could be much better..it was better but I stuffed it in a step someplace☺
A rush job...not much time on capture or processing really.
I guess I didnt expect a decent tesult and did not try as hard as I should have.
Thanks for your kind words.

Thank you Bojan...I will wear it out the way I am going☺.

I was happy that I could get something at 200 mm considering the original idea was for stuff under 50mm.
But the thing is great..I plonk it down take a shot while the mount is off of the South pole...and adjust the mount to center on the CSP ..dont even do a second or third and fire away...its a pity there has been so much cloud as I would like to do a couple of hours on something...have not sortted the belt but that has not been an issue as because of the cloud monitoring I am at the mount..I push it back into place even during an exposure ☺ very forgiving.
Thanks again for everything.
Alex
