Hi,

Just thought I would share this simple cradle that enables the ZWO ASI 120 of any iteration to be used as a polar alignment aid. The nose piece is a snug push fit into the front window that the polarscope normally views through. If pushed fully in it is in alignment with the polar axis. The camera can either be screwed into the cradle using the holes provided or just use painters tape to secure it as the camera can be used as I do as a guide camera with an OAG.
I use SharpCap polar alignment tool and an old 25mm CCTV lens to give the right field of view. I have never tried the wide angle lens provided with the camera but I suspect this may be too wide a FOV to work with SharpCap.
The fit to the mount has to be snug and so this may need a little emery paper to adjust the diameter. It will also fit the LXD75 with a little sanding as well. It makes polar alignment for these mounts a breeze.
I also made a similar cradle to the Astrophysics 1100 mount.
If anyone has a 3D printer I am happy to share the stl file.
