Radio Astronomy has been the one thing that has never given me any interest at all, it is a shame you can not get into it for a reasonable cost as more people would try it

Have to agree Jeremy, many, many years ago I was given a total instruction manual on how to build a radio scope it did not interest me at all, still have all the instructions though, who knows at nearly 70 what might happen.

:D Many years ago we built a radio telescope out of an old ' Wire Wove ' single bed and hooked it up to an AM radio at ' ? ' frequency 21 mhz ? and played it as it was pointed at Jupiter while the public viewed it through the C14 , it was a hit :eyepop: telling people that the noise you are listening to now is Jupiter as you are looking at it , exactly in sync as the radio waves are travelling at the speed of light .

Its a strange airey sound Jupiter makes .
