Selling off all my backyard gear :(

My GSO12A was used more or less exclusively for Spectro and Photometry work (though I may have sneaked off a shot or two of Saturn while slacking off).

Solid performer which holds collimation well and produces perfect tiny donuts either side of focus. Sold with all the bits originally in the box, but no box, including an unused nylon sock/shroud.

The moonlite focuser which was originally included has sold; accordingly, the price of the telescope has been reduced!

GSO12A - $2500

Some other bits I will be listing for sale in the next day or two include:

Optec TCF-S3 Focuser - $1500
Losmandy Titan mount - $5000

When I purchased it secondhand about two years ago the main mirror was pretty dusty, I was also struggling with some collimation issues. So I decided to pull it down, clean the mirror and check the mirror support. A friend is a professional automotive spray painter and offered to spray it for me while the 'scope was in a million bits.

This is not the first GSO RC I've owned, and I was bored with the whole "black-on-black" thing. We were going to go with a cheerful candy apple red, but I thought white was more professional and scientific looking.

To be concise, the reason it is white is because of dust and a short attention span :)

The mirrors are both perfect with no blemishes of any kind, though like all RCs, just a little dusty.

Hi. Would you sell the Moonlite separately?

Happy to sell the 2.5 Moonlite but have already had a couple of requests to sell, though it is not yet sold.

The Moonlite is in great condition, comes with the GSO and large SCT (C14) adapters. It was replaced with a $2500 Optec TCF-S3 only because of all the crap I had hanging off it.

What's the weight of this puppy. Wish you had gone for the candy apple red, that would have been awesome

Weighs in at 24.1Kg as pictured. Bintel website says 23.7 but that figure might not include the extension tubes and focuser.

There are three extension tubes, and they are pretty beefy, seriously well made bits of kit too.

And yes, I sometimes regret not going with the hot rod look.
