Started out visually observing in Ha, gong didn't show much of interest but there was a very faint large prom, best view was with the PT tuner almost all the way out (red shifted?), looked quite spectacular so had to have a record of it. Taken with a SS LS100THa and ASI174mm, thanks for looking.

Nicely captured, not very bright but a lot of fine detail in the prom. Observed and tried to image it as well this afternoon after I saw it in the SOHO images.

Thanks Jeff and Ken. And nice capture as well Jeff. The prom is still there today, looks a little brighter as well.

There is a very good animation of the prom over on Spaceweather.com. Will be having another look today to see how it has morphed and try for a better capture, will help if it is a little brighter. It is heartening to see a bit of activity lately, thanks for the morale boost guys.
