Finally got back to ther Rosette last night, 23x5 min with the TS115. I need to rummage through my messy files to find old Rose's to stack with these.

Figuring out a file system is an overdue rainy day project.

That's a beauty!! Glad you took the opportunity to catch some photons last night. I couldn't drag myself off the couch with this exact target in mind!
You have resolved some nice looking stars in the central core area and the overall cast is wondeful- nice job. Interested to see if your additional data sets can improve on what is already a bonza effort.

That is a lovely looking Rosette, seems like you had quite a good nights imaging. Keep up the good work.
Your filing system sounds like mine, I've Raw files stored on several hard drives that are crying out for rationalisation

I've been keeping an eagle eye on the weather and last night has been my only opportunity recently - cloudy again tonight. Can't complain about the 20mm of rain we got though.

I particularly wanted to get the Rosette ahead of Feb 14.

Thanks again guys :) . My images are lights only, no calibration frames - still a long way to go before I get to the main forum.

I find this one of the easier images to handle with my minimal processing skills due to it's uniform brightness.

Lovely image, plenty of detail and colour is spot on, great work !!
My Rosette was a disaster last month , hot night , hot DSLR and hot pixels with plenty of noise thrown in

It seems like there's always something moving across the sky but I didn't end up with any satellite trails in my subs.

Thanks Martin. Living farther south has it's advantages and I avoid the hottest nights when minimums are approaching 20 degrees.

I've got a fairly narrow zone for catching this one too - antenna and trees to the east, lights to the west, not to mention the moon interfering and the weather, so I'm glad I managed to capture it this season.

That's really nice Tony, great crisp image and great colour. Maybe stretch a bit more to bring out more nebulosity? Or maybe its the crappy phone I'm using to look at it ... But I'd be happy with that.

Filing system - wish I had one too that made any sense. I have a folder where all my captured data sits - sorted by date (and then sometimes targets). Then I transfer it to another folder on a different HDD for processing - sorted for different targets each calendar year (I keep the original files and the image stacked in PI). Then I delete what was in the capture folder. But sometimes the stupid factor enters ...

Thanks Chris; I tried stretching more but it didn't offer an improvement.

I also tried adding old subs but the image degraded; I guess the newer data is of better quality. I have changed to a different reducer for this image.

I have noticed that images look better on the computer screen than the ipad.
