Hi All

Heres the results of lasts nights efforts.

It was a hot clear night so the camera was running a bit warm, ISO 800 showed lots of noise but dropping down the 400 helped a lot. I had to bin a few frames that were over 40 degrees due to high noise.

Also, I was shooting from Kuitpo Forrest which is nice and dark but Orion was over the city so I still had some light pollution to contend with so I kept my shots to 2 mins each.

It was also the first time I have tried my new SW field flattener, Im happy with the results so far but haven't pixel peeped the corner stars yet.

49 subs at 2mins
Iso400
Canon 600D

Very nice shot. Great colour and detail. With an SA and 72ED? Shows what can be done. Do you find your target with the eyepiece first?

You've done a great job getting rid of noise.

Thanks All

Ray, I use a red dot finder, very easy to line up. Then I just take some 10 second test shots to get the framing right.

Im loving the SA and 72ed, they are a good combo and now that Im guiding, Im keen to see how far a can push it.
