well up to 25 Messier objects so far..out of 99 that one could reasonably hope to image from Sydney-so a quarter of the way through...a milestone therefore.
Its taken me since last July to get this far.
so ho hum, these are pretty ordinary pictures
but wait ..it's with an ETX 70 !
There are three albums in my photobucket account : Messier objects/Caldwell Objects/ Other

anyone interested in astrophotography for the non- squillionaire-well here is what you can do with the near the very bottom of Meade's range :)
course I can hear someone say, why bother?
I'm still working on an answer to that

...I reckon your work is brilliant, Narayan.
To produce work of this quality with such limited equipment is downright astonishing. Every image is a testament to your dedication, patience and skill.
Thank you for sharing them with us - I'm looking forward to the remaining 74!

Good going there Narayan, you have to travel up north so you can publish the book!!!
Very nicely done for a small scope!!

They look brilliant, well done, keep up the good work...
Hi Naryan, great images you have produced, an excellent body of work as well.
If some says "why bother" just tell them the same answer as Sir Edmund Hillary when climbed Mt Everest "because it's there".
great work, looking forward to seeing more.

I agree, Narayan. This is an excellent project, and an excellent ambition to fulfil. Very inspirational.
Cheers,

wow, thanks very much for the interest and support everyone!
now as we head into galaxy season I'm curious to see what a short tube achromart -with nylon gears- ;)- can make of the Virgo cluster
as an aside, no names no pack drill but some years ago when I set out to buy the ETX 70 as my grab and go scope, one leading astro retailer said to me that they didn't stock anything so basic and prided themselves on only being able to sell me the ETX 90 upword. (..No say it couldn't be so.. there couldn't be elitism in the ranks of amateur astronomers could there? :) :) ;)...)
