Hi all,:hi:
Here is my image of NGC 1999 and the nebula around it!
I'm pretty happy with this image!
16 hour X 7 minutes HA (zwo filter)
1.5 hours X 2 minutes of RGB each. (Zwo filters)
Total over 20 hours!

Processing was challenging, integrating ha and RGB for the first time.

Made a synthetic lum channel by adding the ha and red filter together using Maximum in pixel math, actually used that for the red filter too.
Combined to make lrgb, did TGV, scnr and histogram)curves/dark structure enhance.

Yeah, dunno why you want to sell it...the MT's are legendary for sharpness

Very nice image Logan and you want to sell you scope what for
you already got a good one why change trying to get better would be hard.

Agree Martin - Logan does NOT need another scope. The one he has is exceptionally good.

If you are hell bent on a wider field, try a "stronger" reducer - not necessarily the Tak specific one

Lewis, my question about the evostar still stands.
It's also about portability, Id much rather use a small scope thats easy to transport snd plonk down on a mount easily than a silly enormous one that makes me less happy!

The FS-78 will show less CA than the Evo72, and be sharper and more contrasted.

I'd probably have to buy the corrector for it new, it's 300 dollars more than the evostar and doesn't have dual speed.
Anyone know about the quality of the evostar?

it has issues with not enough in focus, some cameras simply wont come to full focus with the reducer. I'd try it out with the your camera first before purchasing. I know it doesn't come to full focus with the QHY8L, its missing few mm of in travel.

Ok i think my best bet is the TS72ed. I will be keeping the MT and buying the 72 As well!
Though no flattener yet.
