Caught up with some locals at Mt Coot-Tha this morning - IIS peter_4059, Andrew (astro_south), and Tony (Striker) among them.

Here's some of my collection after v quick process. Andrew got an awesome shot with a jumping spider eating another jumper, and Peter's first macro outing captured some crackers - he's really nailing the exposure with his new toys :)

I was up there one evening last week after dinner with my son's in-law (who wanted to show me the sights), all I saw were teenagers in parked cars.

Thanks for the tips today Troy and Andrew. Ended up staying on until lunch time. I think this is my best image so far...

Yeah, Andrew wanted to take me up there after the session to make-out, but I had to get home to the family :D
Sounds like you up were up at the summit. The botanical gardens we were at are at the bottom with the planetarium.

No worries mate. Love chatting about that stuff.

If you're ever up at 5.30am next time you're welcome to join :)

Hey Dude - how did you get in so early, I had to wait until the gate opened at 8:00am for my session yesterday and got caught up with all the tourists.:)

Cheers

Dennis

G'day Dennis! They usually hang around the "frog pond" outside gate until it opens, then wander inside.

Will let you know next time. :)

PS - jumper shot is lovely!
