Let go of my WOFLT110, RC8 & EQ6 - replaced them with a Sidereal Trading modded Helmerich CF tube f4 Newt and a well loved Takahashi NJP mount.
Came with all the bells & whistles incl. Moonlite Focuser, Paracoor CC, Heavy Duty Spider vanes, mirror upgrades, fan/heater etc. pimped up by Diego Colonnello.
Damn but the NJP mount is built like a Japanese WW2 battleship - and when slewing at high speed it sounds like a jet fighter taking off!
Very exited about imaging at f4, my previous rigs' 30min subs have become just 10min now.
As most of my imaging is done at home under LP I'm very exited about shortened data collection times. :)
Took a crack at the same target I posted earlier (http://www.iceinspace.com.au/forum/showthread.php?t=171592) NGC2020 but this time I've used the new toys (https://www.astrobin.com/full/382405/0/). Looking good so far!
This is 18 x 10mins 3nm Ha - colour version to follow soon!
Big thanks to Diego Colonnello and Clive Garner for their generous help and assistance with this system upgrade, and to the many IIS'ers whose advice was kindly offered on the way.
It's taken a while to figure it all out, but got there in the end
