Just a quick note of the passing of Tom Hilton early November. For those that know Tom was a tireless worker in Gemini 1 and 2 Losmandy HGM equipment forums, yahoo and now Gemini and Losmandy Groups IO. He liked the equipment so much and believed in free help for all and tireless worked helping others, creating help pages like Losmandy FAQs.
He did so for decades providing assistance to beginners, did a lot of tech work for Gemini ASCOM and Gemini 2 mods and suggestions for Gemin 1s.
He was well known, well liked, even with his occasional abrasive approach, (which used to make me laugh) he’d always provided help. Tom and I shared spinal problems and military service and ideals on providing help to everyone who asked.
So, a final salute to him is fitting. See ya sometime in the future Tom, we’ll share a beer!
