Everyone here says "WOW".
One tends to forget how interesting the Moon really is.
I have never done EP projection I just now realised.

Nice shot RAYMO,

After reading Mental4astro's post on planetary observing I'm beginning to realise what an interesting target the moon really is. I've started trying to learn more about the features on thE moon & identify things rather than just randomly staring at a collection of craters. I plan to really try & push my scope & my observing by chasing fine features & identifying them.

Im with Xelasnave, I think we forget how good the moon can be as we chase the more exotic....

Thanks for the comments Alex and Carlton.

Carlton, If you are interested enough you can buy quite cheaply a set of
A4 size Lunar charts [photographs] that show what you would see for each day of the month.
Find out what is the smallest size crater your scope can resolve, and see if
it [and your eyes]will do it. Find out a few facts about sizes of particular craters, or height of particular mountains or cliffs, adds interest to your viewing.

Raymo,

I will definitely look into those charts.. I have an app on my phone & tablet but, eyes are definitely deteriorating & it's tough making things out properly on a smallish screen..

Cheers

Carlton
