I present herewith my latest image being a Hubble Pallet SHO version of NGC6357. Data was captured during July and has been sitting on my hard drive patiently waiting for me to get to the processing. Good thing about ones and zeros is that they don't get bored waiting :)

Astonishingly good, Rodney. A wonderful image. Pinpoint circular stars, no distracting magenta haloes, deep grit-free nebulosity, fine tendrils resolved, and clean meaningful separation of Ha OIII and SII.

The only thing I would have changed would have been a portrait rather than landscape framing. Moot point as best :). Everything else is very solid, as has been mentioned earlier.

Many thanks for the positive thoughts everyone and for your ideas on framing Peter. It is amazing what we can do with ones and zeros isn't it. Thinking that we have photons flying through space and then hitting our sensors and making electrons which then makes ones and zeros which get stored on our hard drives which we then run through software to turn into images on the screen. Very clever for sure !!

A fine result Rodney. I always find NGC 6357 slightly difficult to do well because of the dynamic range involved. You've done a great job with the SHO.

Thanks Greg and Steve, appreciate the feedback. The colour was interesting with this object as it seemed to fall into place without too much fiddling.
