Photon starved here in Sydney but certainly not water starved. I'm itching to put the CN-212 through its pace now I have everything sorted out and there's a bloody cyclone coming down  I only managed 5x600s with the new scope (dark one) but dug out a few hours I had previously baked with the mewlon 210 back in 2016. Similar FL but not as well corrected. Good enough to register and get the SNR up a little. Still too noisy to work with and do any sharpening or deconvolution but there is potential and I really like the image scale. When the rain stops I'll make a point to hammer it, mozzies or heat.

Nice one, Marc! The rain is coming for us soon too :)

Oh that causes such nostalgia and heartache! You are actually capturing photons, and very fine ones too. The quick dark gritty one looks very sharp.
The combined shot is very pleasing.

Up here at the camera-free farm we're grateful for the 35 mm of rain over the last couple days. We've just bought eleven tiny Angus-Simmental cross steers. They're super-cute, but more or less invisible in the wild oats.

Best,
MnT

Thanks guys.

Yeah hopefully this thing tracks inland and dies before it reaches the water again on the other side or it could get very messy.

I saw the pics, they're still tiny. Hope you get a good soaking and plenty of grass to feed them.

Shows great promise.

Once you get the underwater camera housing sorted, you'll be smoking :)

Looking good so far Marc, eager to see what that CN212 can do! At some point I’ll have to get my M250 up and running for some of these things :)

 you're not wrong there. Nothing for the near future is going to happen in Sydney.

I think it'll be alright Colin. It might a bit slow for NB though, smallish aperture, then again I haven't been able to do really long exposures yet with my mount issues I had. Will be perfect for small galaxies I reckon.

 You're killing me mate. I'm barely making it with Ha or LUM. :P

Thanks Chris. QHY9 on this one. ~0.4asp image scale, not unlike the C11 but a lot sharper with that scope and 15kg lighter. :)
