View Full Version here: : Claim that Loop Quantum Gravity theory predicts black holes evolve into white holes
In A Dec 10 2018 article at physics.aps.org (https://physics.aps.org/articles/v11/127), Carlo Rovelli reports on
theoretical work by Ashtekar and Olmedo at Pennsylvania State University
and Singh at Louisiana State University that purportedly shows that
loop quantum gravity—a theory that extends general relativity by quantizing spacetime—
predicts that black holes evolve into white holes.

Pfwoaahh.... who makes up that stuff? Does this mean that if you get sucked into a black hole you bounce back in some future?
If you were to be sucked into a black hole I would imagine that future would not be good.

So assuming something comes out... wouldn't we see evidence of that somewhere already?
Maybe it's pumping out dark matter/dark energy. :)

Judging by the title that future would be the trump universe. Oh wait, no it says into white hole not into arse hole. :P

I believe matter would be converted in the process of transitioning from black hole to white. You not going to see a Big Mac get sucked in and then fired out the white hole in the future. However, the atomic level elements could make the transition. The reason the we don't see white holes flinging stuff around is that they exist in a future we cannot see.

Yeah but we would see white holes now from past black holes no? Unless the big bang was one single white hole and each has its won universe? Ok I'm officially off the port for tonight.

You can have your future any way you want it ... as long as its diced, minced and crushed to a speck. :eyepop:

Because of the huge time distortion allowed by relativity, the time for the process to happen can be short (microseconds) when measured from inside the hole but long (billions of years) when measured from the outside. .....
So we may just not have been around long enough to see it..yet.
