I haven't seen many do this nebula, so I did.

Looks interesting Karl; I'll be keen to try this one some time.

Nice get, Karl . This is exactly the approach that I like - off the beaten track and tackling stuff that others tend to ignore.
There are many such examples of otherwise lovely nebulae that are forgotten by a much flashier object in the same constellation, in this case there's two, M42 & B33 (the Horse Head). There's a few other such treasures lurking about:
NGC 3576, the Statue of Liberty Nebula in Carina
NGC 5286, GC in Centaurus
NGC 5189, the Spiral Planetary Nebula in Musca
NGC 6357, the War & Peace Nebula in Scorpius
There's a host of others that are very pretty on their own, just largely unknown due to a showier big brother object. I love chasing these down too :)
Alex.

It’s a pretty fault Nebula so you’ve captured it quite well with the amount of data you have

I got a bit of M78 last night Karl, but lost another 40 minutes worth due to user error.
This is 6x4 minutes. I'll definitely go back to this one since it has reasonable brightness and it's not too small.

Alex, thanks for pointing out other interesting targets. Even if I don't get good pictures of objects, the attempt helps to learn about where and what they are.

Karl - nice one. Push the boundaries!!
Alex- I've tried War & Peace, both the novel & the DSO. Really difficult and neither ended well. I must get back to both of them.
