First nebula images with a Borg 200 mm f/3.8 astrograph

Here are my first attempts at imaging with my ‘new’ Borg 200 mm f/3.8 astrograph, the same model RickS started using recently. I say ‘new’ because I acquired the Borg back in autumn 2017, and have only just recently had a go at processing the first two data sets. It took quiet a lot of experimentation interchanging the various tubes until I found a backspacing near to the sweet spot for flat images with circular stars in the corners. The image quality seems pretty damn good to me. I think the Borg is a winner.

I take it you mean the Borg 55, with the 200mm focal length, not a 200mm aperture Borg?

Looks good to the corners, Murray! I still need to do a little tweaking of the spacing on mine. What camera did you use? Was it the QSI listed in your sig?

Yes Lewis, the Borg with the tiny little 55 mm objective. I doubt I could afford to buy a lens with a 200 mm objective lens, though using one sounds like a beautiful idea.

Yes Rick, the QSI683wsg. It's stilling going strong. One of the best toys I ever acquired.
