When most of us first learnt to walk as toddlers, few of us would have
consciously contemplated the control algorithms of how we do it and
keep balance.

In a 5 December 2018 article at the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers
(IEEE) Spectrum Magazine, Evan Ackerman reports on a research project at
Florida's Institute for Human & Machine Cognition (IHMC) to teach
robots to walk more like humans do.

That's crazy hey? Did you see this one (https://www.abc.net.au/news/2018-10-12/boston-dynamics-atlas-robot-shows-off-parkour-skills/10370444)?

I know it's testing balance but it always makes me cringe when they kick them to try to topple them over. Reminds me of that Matrix movie trailer. How are we going to treat them eventually?

That one on ice is quite funny though when it's trying to keep straight.
