I was on a roll for the last three nights, 5 hours of pretty good data and looking forward to getting the RGB next. The weather sadly called for a hiatus...
NGC 1365 so far (http://www.atscope.com.au/BRO/gallery447.html)
Not as deep as M&T's fine CDK20 rendering, but getting there.

Wowee, and just 3hrs data? Aperture rules!
Looking forward to seeing this one finished 😊

Aperture and collimation certainly help, very nicely resolved. MnT do have much darker skies than your suburban backyard ;)

Perversely, aperture certainly rules for urban imaging....provided other sources of noise (other than skyglow) are minimised...should look pretty clean by the 10 hour mark.
As for the dark skies...well...maybe!!
I'm looking at a block of land, a couple of hours south of the big smoke,
that my better half has indicated might be a goer for a weekender :) complete with 3.5 metre dome. :D
Ta Andy, but no, there is 5 hours of data there. I'll probably bin the colour 2x

Super sharp and detailed. Lovely, what a great start to an awesome final image.
There are plenty of good dark sites south of Sydney. Better to get one on a hill so no fog/mist issues and better seeing.

The details in the inner spiral arms and bright core are beyond superb. Needle sharp.
Good news with the potential haven a couple hours further out.

No wonder Professor Brian Cox says '''' it's a VAST Universe .
The depth and the distant between those background Galaxies is phenomenal when you think about it...and that's only a ' small ' section of sky.
Incomprehensible.... :eyepop:

High praise indeed :thanx:
I am really enjoying the Alluna optics, now that they have finally been tuned ! (post shipping in a timber crate, half-way across the planet).
The best sub of the series was a FWHM of 1.27 arc sec...mind boggling given it was taken " in the 'burbs" , 380 feet above sea level.
As for the proposed Southern Highlands (read 1500 feet/480m ) dark site...a far cry from Cerro Tololo (2200m)...but....has to be way better than the Sutherland Shire
Thanks Marc...your input is as always, very much appreciated.

Thanks Col, at 4k res many of those background stars are indeed galaxies
(but, sorry I have an aversion to uploading the whole enchilada )
Ta Steve.
German optics. What can I say? Just don't mention the war :) ..as for the southern retreat...early days, but very promising.
Wow!:eyepop:
That is superb!

Thanks guys, but still a way to go....while the signal is there, the noise still needs taming.
Plus it's always a juggling act between the new moon and weather. :prey:
