An amateur astrophotographer discovered a beautiful reflection nebula around a variable star in the northern skies.
Not by luckily imaging and investigating the results. But by tediously going through online data from IRIS and others :D And once he found something interesting in that data, he held his equipment at it and shot 30 secs exposures - amassing over 100GB of raw data in 35 hours.

Et voila, it's a not before known nebula and very very beautiful, I think.

Finn is his nephew, whose 2nd birthday it was yesterday. Hence the name and the going public on that date.

In his YT clip he explains in (some form of ;) ) German how he discovered it. And from 5:41 ff, we cruise around the area and explore the wispy beauty in its golden glory.

That's a beautiful shot. Reminds me of the toby jug a little.
