Lead acid battery

Anyone knows where I can get battery like below? I looked everywhere (ebay) but no luck, it seems
It is used in old Sharp PC-4600 computer... it refuses to do anything without it.

I prefer the same form factor as it has to fit inside, and it has to be able to be charged, at least a little.

I need to use computer like this because it is slow enough, to properly control the programmer for old 68HC705KICS processor

Yes...

I was looking into Li-Ion with controller which simulates lead-acid chemistry, but all I found was too expensive.

Yes, I saw this, but it doesn't fit. It will be OK for external use, though.

Have you tried using a 6V power pack that can supply the appropriate amount of current ?
Assuming its used indoors and not outside in a remote location.

Not yet...

The issue is, computer has 12V power supply (or, rather charger), and apparently battery is needed when HD is active, and that is when the boot fails. This was happening ~10 years ago when I start to use it and when that peculiar battery form factor was still available (Rockby Electronics if I remember correctly).
I could still try to use more beefy charger (current one is ~1A, maybe not enough).

Problem solved (with better PS from one of my drawers for waste).
I still have to adjust the system clock every time after startup.

Hi Philip, thank you for suggestion - yes, it probably would.
I was thinking about small(ish) NiCd 6V (actually 7.25.. so I need 6 cells) Will try one day when I stumble on suitable battery:-)

However, I am using this lap VERY occasionally, and only for that Motorola programmer, so setting RTC is not too hard (it is problem only with file time stamp, that could sometimes be a problem).

Were this my issue to resolve, I would be hanging onto that battery and researching the method to open it ( carefully ), ridding the content, ( appropriately ) and fitting out the inside with suitable sized and number of Li-Ion cells with suitable charging management.
You would likely improve on the Ahrs yet still have the same casing.
Seen it done on YouTube numerous times with cordless tool Nicad conversions.

Hmm.. problem is, this suitable changing management has to present itself as naked lead acid battery to existing battery charger in the laptop.
Compared to lead-acid, Li-Ion has much better capacity/weigth-volume ratio, so I can fit two 6Ah cells in the same volume.. I already throw away the old battery.
