There's a big dust storm you can see from space in broken hill right now. Saw it on the day + Night satellite loop on CFN for South Australia. You can clearly see the trails of dust taking off around 11:30 CDT.

If it reaches Sydney we're going to have to sweep and mop like in 2009. The sky was orange.
PS: It really sticks out on the IR sat map. Should be easy to track it overnight. Looks like it's headed south towards Canberra but expecting stronger southerly later on so Sydney might cop it.

Yeah the wind is picking up too. Hopefully it will blow over quickly.
That's Mudgee earlier this morning and right now.
