I just bought this one and am very happy with it, despite its steep price and requirement of adapters to USB-C.
It is the 13" version, an ideal travel laptop.

I almost hate Windows so if I buy a non-Apple laptop, Linux is the only option.
A slim laptop, very fast and runs AP software flawlessly, even DSS in a VirtualBox session.

Do some IIS'ers have this one (or the 2016 or '17 version which is similar) ?

I have the 13” MacBook Pro too. I bought mine about 3 months ago. It is fast and so far has been running everything I throw at it with ease. I have noticed some instability with Apple Mail though.
As you say any excellent traveller.
I have a nice compact Dell multi adaptor for the USB-C port.

Mac user for decades... I have a 2014 MacBook Air maxed out - i7, 8GB/512GB and it’s still a superb daily workhorse. Wacky part is that with Parallels on it, this runs windows 7 and 10 better than the work-issued clunker - a Lenovo P50 - which on paper should be good but is actually a very heavy slow boat anchor.

And the last few revs of OSX have brought useful speed increments so it’s no slouch.

I’d never use Windows anymore by choice, only out of necessity when there’s no adequate alternative.

I have a work issue 2015 macbook pro and it still runs rings around modern windows machines with similar specs.
In a school environment students that use macbooks seem to have a longer life of their device than students with a windows equivalent, a testament to the build quality.

Same here.... since 1998 I've only used Windows at work or in the obs, which has been the only place where I have felt there were no adequate alternatives....

I am using a mid-2015 MBP, I think its the last of the USB ports models.... love it.... my son is using my old 2010 MBP, it is still going strong, despite a cracked screen....
