Hi all,
I'm just wondering if a 3d printed stepper bracket for my tak would be rigid enough, because having the stepper mounted directly on the pinion tensioner screws was seriously messing things up and im hoping to be able to redesign one good enough for a stepper to be mounted on the one screw that covers the pinion tensioner.
Also, anyone have any idea how to straighten a bent pinion? I heard something about a pipe? Problem it it seems to be uniformly bent.

I'm using abs printed stuff to hold a focuser on my newt. And brackets to hold steppers driving my EQ5. They've been okay for two months. Fingers crossed.

Anyone know where I can get a collet for Takahashi pinions?

Bent collet is not a problem..

If the hole is not right, you can always machine it to larger dimension.


Also, a simple rubber tube (for fuel for example) with some cable ties (to fix it to the shaft) will also do the perfect job.
