M33 in RGB

What a fabulous night it was last night (Saturday 6th Oct) Everything worked flawlessly with no issues except for one green channel getting trashed from high cloud, that passed pretty quickly and I was able to continue. This shot is a simple RGB image, I do have plans to get some more data including Luminance and Ha to enhance the H2 regions. I'm quite pleased with the core detail.

Exposure time 7x 900s in Red, 7x640s in Green and 860s in Blue. Taken with my AG12 and H35 camera

Hi Peter,
that's a beautiful picture.
M33 is always a crowd pleaser.
Wish we could see it better here in the Southern Hemisphere.

Niiiiice, an excellent M33 Peter, is that the full frame?.I assume so.

If you do hammer some solid Lum and Ha you will certainly have a really good RGB base to use in the combine :thumbsup:

That is rather nice Peter, seeing must have been good for you. It is quite hard to get this here in southern Australia, so always good to see it here in the forum.

Yes M33 is a great northern object, almost as good as its southern cousin NGC300- hehehe.

Thank you Alan there are plenty down there we cant get see its only fair we have at least one or two gems up here ;)

Cheers Mike, Yes other than cropping out the dithered overlap its full. With some luminance i might be able to tease out some IFN, there isnt a lot of it.

Seeing was quite steady, with our very changeable weather it very rarely settles down. The guiding graph was unusually flat :thumbsup:

Nice, rich colours Peter. For a bright object like this RGB does a good job but I'm sure that some Lum will lift it a bit more,

Excellent Peter, I know some aren't totally keen on the Ha highlighted HII regions look in galaxy images... but I recon it looks really good :thumbsup:

Are you planning any Lum?...hard to know if it will make heaps of difference but it could bulk it up a bit?

Thank you Mike...I know its a little controversial, but for me if it works when done sympathetically....I have started on the Luminance, Looking at what I have so far I'm not sure if i will actually bring any more to it, The jury is out at the moment.....Ill keep plugging away at it see what i get. :thumbsup:

Everyone likes to do things differently. There's fellas on the other forum that don't shoot luminance at all.
