On Axis Guider SC

This is my favourite piece of equipment. This version allows up to M42 (T2) connections. I'm upgrading to the full frame version.


Your entire FOV is now available for finding a guide star, without needing a separate guide scope. No more differential flexure, or camera rotations.


With an on axis guider, a specially coated filter angled at 45 degrees bounces visible light to your camera, while allowing near infrared to pass through to a guide camera. Your main camera remains static, but you can adjust the position of the guide camera in X & Y using sliders.

Hi Adam,

It looks like you have a newt in one of the images here and I see you have a paracor and QSI683ws8 like me. I was wondering if the ONAG fits between the paracor and the QSI683ws8 in terms of back focus distance?

You'd have to put the paracorr after the onag due to the 55mm(?) backfocus requirement. Putting a spacer on the guide port of the onag would keep the guide camera par focal.

I have an ONAG XM (the full fram version) that i no longer require, I'm thinking of selling it. Very little use. Would you be interested in purchasing it potentially?
