The Helix in Ha only

THe Helix Neb

This is just a preview on my target NGC 7293. This is only in Hα which is deep red in the visible spectrum, emission nebula's are strong in this visible spectrum.

NGC 7293 is about 700 light yrs away and is one of the closest planetary nebulae, this is a good example on what our sun will do at the end of its life in over 4 billion yrs time.
