OK, this is the last post in this series of 'old hat boring objects' ;) I promise :)

I wanted to take a longer exposure of the surrounding area to see what I could see, see how many of those thousands of stars I could bring out and if there was any interesting dust patterns etc. I'm happy with the result.

I also took 60 second exposures to show more detail in the Jewel Box its self, that is linked to from the description of this image.

Interestingly I also have linked to, a comparison shot of 120 second exposures from my LX200.

All in all, another pleasing set of images but nothing ground breaking. :)

Nice images Roger. I never tire of looking at the Jewel Box; it’s always a pleasure to see these sparkling beauties.
