Great grab and go setup, very light to handle. I can wrap one arm around easy and carry!

Excellent for those trips away from home and comes with Starbook built in so no need for any other telescope control computers or software.

But, you can add a mobile wifi dongle or router to the Starbook and then control with the iPhone/iPad/Android/PC with such planetarium software as 'SkySafari' etc if you desire.

Holds 10kg (Official Max Rating) OTA capacity no problems, but can also handle 12kg for visual. AP with this mount is around 8-9kg.

I am only selling as I use my Celestron CGEM more now at home, and have my Takahashi mount for my grab and go setup!

Need to thin the herd a little, and it deserves to go to someone who is going to use it!

Hi All

For those interested, this is my final price drop for this mount.

Approx weight of mount parts are as follows:

- Mount head approx 8.7kg
- CW approx 1.8kg
- HAL Tripod approx 5kg
- Half Pillar approx 2kg

This is such a light weight mount, with all the 'bells & whistles'! Still capable of holding a reasonable OTA - Visual 12kg and AP around 8kg!

Counter weight bar retracts into the mount head for storage and transport. It really is a great piece of engineering!

If it doesn't sell at this price I will just keep as a light grab and go set-up.

To avoid confusion this mount is presently in the ACT, as I am there with work at the moment.

Hi everyone

I have had a couple of enquires to package sizes and postal/courier costs.

So far in two packages:

ACT to Perth has ranged approx $100-125

ACT to Brisbane has ranged $75-85

I have decided to provide the approx package sizes and weights so that anyone interested can look for cheaper alternatives for postage/courier and make an informed decision.

I believe it is likely that the packages will be as follows (I have the boxes, but haven't fully packed them yet):

If in 2 x Parcels, it will consist of -

Mount Head & Controller/Leads - 49 x 39 x 21cm (approx 13kg inc padding)

Tripod, Half Pillar & Counterweight - 101 x 21 x 17cm (approx 13kg inc padding)

Although I would recommend sending the hand controller in a separate AusPost envelope to reduce risk of breakage (extra $15).

If you are interested, please do your research for competitive price estimates and let me know.

I can then pack fully and provide definite sizes and weights, or at least as close as I can.

I am presently looking for a cooled astro ccd/cmos camera, not any in particular.

Happy to consider a full or part trade (dependant on camera offered) towards the mount in lieu of payment.

I am also looking to get a Sony FE 90mm f2.8 Macro, FE 16-35mm f4 lens orTamron (for Sony FE) 28-75mm f2.8 , so would also consider those lenses for a trade/part trade as well.
