This started out as a test image but seemed to work out okay even though the data is a bit thin. Given that I live at the southern end of Canberra I don't often venture into the north because the further north I go the worse the light pollution becomes but M15 was in a reasonable position so I thought I would have a go not having imaged it for many years. M15 is one of the globular clusters that contains a planetary nebula (Pease 1) located just above the centre but virtually impossible to see in this image.
Cheers
Steve

Thanks Marc. I always try and emphasize globular star colours.

I really like the dynamic colours and brightness range of this one. Tame the noise just a tad more and I suspect it will go to the next level
Nice one.

Lovely. The half dozen brightest field stars add greatly to the image, and make M55 a bit special.

Thanks M&T. It's actually M15 though.
Thanks Peter. I worked hard at noise reduction on this one. Basically I just needed more data. All my best globular shots have far more data than ths.

Very nice, Steve! A good catch despite the limited data and light pollution.

Thanks Colin. It certainly turned out better than I expected.
Thanks Rick. I might go back and get some more data when the moon goes away.

A great looking M15 Steve.
Sharp, detailed and nice colour.

Thanks Ross. It's still a bit noisy so I'll probably go back and get some more data when the moon goes away.
