05-09-2018, 12:33 PM
The subject this month can be … "Any subject"

BUT
The there is a THEME this month: …

"Shades of grey/gray - monochrome"

Reminder ...
* This thread is only for posting your entry, together with any comments/explanation/details you'd like to issue concerning your own photo.
* comments on other entries, or "other" shots of your own you'd like to share, can be posted in the Comments and Rejects Thread -> HERE (http://www.iceinspace.com.au/forum/showthread.php?p=1393466#post139346 6).
* only one entry (that's just one image) per person
* the image must be your own work and
* all other normal forum rules, and image size limits, apply.

The image doesn't necessarily have to be taken this month, but in the spirit of the challenge, we encourage you to get out and get into it.
In this regard, YES, the image may be one that you have submitted to a previous photo challenge, unless of course it has already been voted a winner.

The winner of the public vote, which will be run at the end of the month, will get to choose next month's topic and have their photo added to our "Photo Challenge Hall of Fame".

MOST IMPORTANT OF ALL ... enjoy the challenge. :camera:

Good Luck!

An old luna shot from ' Film ' days taken on black and white Kodak I think ? taken holding my old camera to the 20mm kelner ? in my old 60mm f15 refractor , its not that clear but that's how it was back then ;) . Very hard to do and no results until you got the photos back .

It's a cell phone shot of the old photo and cropped , that's all .

I made an excuse last weekend to go for a bike ride in Braeside park wetlands.
This is a 3 shot HDR converted to B&W using Photoshop/Nik HDR merge/B&W artistic filter.
Canon 6D/Samyang 14mm, 1/400sec, ISO 100, f8, +/- 1 stop HDR.

OK
Nothing fancy, just a shot I snapped with my phone today for this competition.
Dark clouds rolling in, I thought Ah! Black and White!
Then I see the "face" in the clouds

Boat Harbour Beach in Tasmania is an incredibly peaceful and beautiful place. You just want to stay there! In shades of grey .....

My daughter and two month old grandson (my first!), taken around the same time last year. They were my patient models for the afternoon while I was trying to learn portrait photography. It was shot in monochrome in RAW. But I couldn't figure out how to resize a RAW image for here so I pulled it off my facebook page which compresses pics and I'm guessing the file size will turn out quite small grrr.
I've been sick all month with pneumonia, such a shame as I would've loved to have tried a few other things for this month's challenge as I'm keen to learn more about B&W shooting.
