Wow! They are great shots Sonia!!!!
It always amazes me how they fly in lines like that.
Our Aussie galahs and Cockatoos just fly around by the hundreds and thousands in great lumps, with no formation at all.

I remember watching a DVD i think it was called Travelling birds, great footage and the unbeleivable distances some birds fly!!!

Brilliant, Sonia, thanks ever so much for posting the pictures.
I used to live on t'other side of the Pennines from you and still recall the birds leaving for the south. Wave after wave of them; quite magnificent. Unlike some films where the birds 'honked' their way to warmer climes I don't recall them doing so. That doesn't mean they didn't, just that I cannot remember them doing so.

I love nature, especially like that. It makes it more worth the while of taking pictures when they come in flocks.
