A rare clear night in Adelaide. Calm conditions at ground level with slight twinkling, but unfortunately the jet stream was raging. Hopefully before this disappointing apparition is over we'll get at least one night with settled dust on Mars and steady air on earth.

AP 175 refractor, ASI224. I used only the best 1000 frames from 54000.

That's still a pretty good image for a 7 inch Graeme . I know what you mean with Mars, it's such a shame that one of the biggest dust storms also coincided with one of this planets best approaches to earth. I was well prepared to achieve some great shots this apparition compared to 15 years ago but I have not been given the opportunity to take advantage of it. Like you said, let's hope the dust settles so at least we get something worth photographing.

Nice capture Graeme! Great to see albedo markings becoming more prominent with each passing day.
