I have decided to get off my proverbial and get my obs working again. I see we have a new moon on Sept 10th so with a bit of luck, there has to be a night or two around then with some hope of clear skies. Saturday the 8th is the obvious choice so I will lock that in.
I would love to see a few old faces and even some new ones.

Would love to get up to 10CH again if the stars align, Peter!
Cheers,
Rick.

It's a sadly familiar song about New Moons and Saturday night! I'm sure you know it. The lyrics go something like this:
" Partly cloudy. High (70%) chance of showers,
most likely in the morning and afternoon.
The chance of a thunderstorm in the afternoon and evening.
Winds north to northwesterly 15 to 20 km/h
becoming light during the evening. "
It is sung to the tune of Auld Langs Syne' or something similar.

Don't despair, I can hear the same tune on the loud speakers down south. We're all in the same soup.

Sadly the rain is going to beat us this NM, but the ground does need a good drink
Will check with you next month

LOL Rick.
Maybe Garbure is more apt.

In a strange way, it is. The origins of garbure are in France and the word invokes both the sheaves cut for stacking as hay and the pitchforks used in the same process. Considering the current dry state of TenChain Hill, and the amount of dry grass we have, it does seem kinda apt.
