C5 Solar Filter

1000 Oakes Solar Filter that has seen be through a few eclipses and transits. This filter fitted my 5" Celestron SCT.

From memory, the filter is about 15 years old, which is about the expected life of these filters. However, the coating still looks good and when I hold it up to the Sun, I can not see any pinpoints of light shinning through.

The rather-old looking box for the filter is marked $207, so I guess that is what I paid for, before postage.

Near the top the first two photos, U can just see the Sun and notice that there are no pinholes of light.

Hi Bob,
I'm interested in buying. Whilst 5 inches (127mm) is probably the nominal clear aperture could you please confirm the inner mounting diameter as I'd like to slip it over a lens of around 140mm in outer diameter. it's probably OK, but just to be sure if you could confirm the diameter OK and then consider it SOLD.
