Mcnaugt finaly

The cloud cover down here in Hobart finally played ball, last night, and gave me my first view of Mcnaught. What an impressive sight through the 10x50s.
This is my frist comet sighting and was well worth the wait. I hope everybody else gets as good a look too.

Hi Andrew, we certainly have had a lovely time with Comet NcNaught, now only if the Moon would rack off, we would be in heaven again, glad you got a chance to see it.

Just went outside now and surprise, surprise there's a bunch of clouds up there:mad2:
'Twas good enough without the moon. I could see it naked eye easily. I live in the 'burbs and have a very large factory near by thats all lit up 24/7.

Tonight from my front yard, it was barely visible naked eye at 10pm. Needed 12x60s to locate it. Fading away......................... :sadeyes:

:mad2: Well I cannot believe my the rotten luck I have yet to see it and the way things are going it looks as if I will miss it due to the fact that at every opportunity I have had to view Comet McNaught the western horizon, right on sunset and beyond has become shrouded in a thin veil of clouds and smoke just enough to obscure any view. I must say though the pictures submitted in the forum make it a little easier to take, but I would really love to get a glimpse. :shrug:
