M20 1st attempt

As its been the land of the long grey cloud lately I tried Itelescope to get an image.
I dont know if its really cheating by not getting cold and fumbling around in the dark but i ended up with my first LRGB image.

First time the roof closed half way because of high winds.
Second time a booking cut me off
Third time it did a meridian flip and some subs were upside down which took ages to work out why it just didn't look right when combined.

Other than that I learned to process LGRG.
Still working on the colour balance but at least some data to play with.

Looks a great image Andy congratulations on working thru the difficulties.

Hi guys,
I've been paying $21 a month for 20 points and 1 point gives you around 30 seconds of camera time depending on which telescope you use.
Of course the siding springs is the most expensive.
You get discount for Moon and also if there is interruption in imaging time from roof closures etc.
You get bonuses from time to time.
Also if you pay 40 month you get a better deal and there are always deals.
I signed up and haven't used it for ages and had about 270 points so a perfect time.
It's a bit of a learning curve about which scope for which purpose but because of northern hemisphere access you can get really clear veiws of Andromeda etc.
I've got plenty of 1 shot Lum just playing around but I've never tried much colour until the other night.
It's really not to expensive if you have a Target in mind and go by the weather and use the scopes correctly like binning the colour subs for less time or doing the H filters when there's a moon around.
Its good for me so when I finally will jump in the deep end and buy a decent camera and telescope I will know how to use it from day one.
Still nothing like getting your hands dirty and using the real thing even if it's only a cheapy and a DSLR which can still get really good images as I've seen her.
