I'm not sure if this is Poll worthy, but I wonder who the most popular captain is? I've always been a fan of the originals with Kirk (Shatner). I simply can't hear the sounds of protest to the above over Kirk's "awesome" :P

TNG seemed a touch-feely soap opera in comparison. NCC-1701A was the sexy Corvette Stingray, with the D model more akin to a Toyota Prius... Maybe I'm just looking at this the wrong way...(?)

Am I misguided? Help a brother out :D

EDIT: Looking at Shatner's current BMI, I fully accept that he's not gonna Captain any Starships until the captain's chair is "uprated". Perhaps Scotty's underlings need to shovel more antimatter into the reactor... So, Piccard it is.
