View Full Version here: : Moon shot tonight after McNaught
Since I had the gear out after getting only one shot at McNaught , I thought I may as well take a shot of the moon too.
This is a single frame thru the TOA and the 20Da.

Nice, but you get that with Tak. What did McNaught come out like. I have been trying as well, but the moon is giving me grief, along with cloud.

Here is the post (http://www.iceinspace.com.au/forum/showpost.php?p=187457&postcount=537)Gary.
I put it in the Observational Astro thread for McNaught (http://www.iceinspace.com.au/forum/showthread.php?t=16333) and here's the attached image.
Seemed to be ok even with the moon out, but I wish I had more time to get a few more shots in.
As I said in the other post this was my only good shot before it disapeared behind the trees, it was also my test shot so I didn't frame it the way I wanted.
Might give it another go.
Cheers.

Looks good RB. I am leaning towards just using the Tak for this object, at least until the moon vacates. My Canon Lens shots were greatly (as you would expect) affected by the moon.

Your shot is still nice Gary, but I'd love to see your shots thru the Tak !

Thank you John, I was worried the 20Da might render the colour too rich, but it's not too bad.
