Sorry the subject is a little dull but I have a limited view before the trees cut in and only three 40sec shots at f8 mean stacked in PS.

Worthwhile persisting with a non ED lense.?
I wonder if you can correct the fringing with a corrector rather than software?

This is a 400 6x7 F4 lense so required a lot of defringing to remove most of the bloodshot look. Surprising it works at all really but I am really only using the centre part of this huge lense on a small sensor. Really more like 600mm but I can still fit in the NGC 3293? in the corner with this lense rather than the ED 800 which is 1 kilo heavier and more like a 1200mm.

Crop what you dont like☺
I think you have done well.I can see detail where I look for it ...just add to your data bank of it and one day maybe years from now stack a thousand of the best.

I have had now one stack of 30 second captures for a time of 3 .5 hours total exposure.
This new computer stacks that in only an hour so I intend to see how far I can push the 30 second stack to...
