My second attempt at processing in PixInsight so sticking to the tried and true objects although I was surprised at the colour that came out of it all. Only minor tweaks. Tried not blow out the core (getting a bit more familiar with masks). Captures were variable in quality so not the best data, although still managed 9 hours. Always welcome criticisms and feedback. Captured on an ED80 on an HEQ5 with a ZWO 1600MM-Pro. Ha 40 x 300s, 03 34 X 300s and S2 34 x 300s. Attached a wider field version and a crop of the central object. Oh gosh, I just realized it’s a similar colour palette to your M17 Suavi! I didn’t reference it directly although I remember seeing it. I found this is kind of what PI gave me with a boost here and there. Was this the same with your image (which I hugely admire, along with all your images) or were you looking for something specific in regards to colour?
Wow, excellent images. :)

I am really impressed with your images Ben. You have a very nice telescope-camera combo and your data processing is great. Please keep them coming

Ben, that would be an excellent result for a much larger scope. For an 80mm, it is stunning.
Hearty congratulations, and best wishes,

Very nice image - colour palette is very pleasing to the eye - but that big red star looks a bit wierd - maybe it could be masked?
Great job getting the best out of your gear too

Ha, yes. I woke up this morning realising I'd filled in the background of that star completely, rather than partially, due to a masking issue earlier on with tone mapping. I've made an attempt to correct it :-) Still very big and red but the core is now white. I rotated it for an alternate view.
Thanks for all the nice comments :-) I think with my HEQ5 300s subs are about the limit. I basically keep all my 120s subs but lost quite a few at 300s. With the scope and camera I think I'm bordering on under sampling but probably better than oversampling with this mount. Anyhoo...

Nice work Ben. I like the management of the dynamic range across the nebula and the contrasting colours

Looks great, Ben. I've always found this a tricky object for NB colour.
