The controller is reporting: "No link to mount." I suspect the firmware, Version 2.4, has corrupted.
Where can I find a download of Version 2.4, or, what upgrades are available that are compatible to HEQ5.

The Synscan handcontroller V2 is no longer supported....

There doesn't seem to be any recovery files I can see. You may have to look for a replacement V3 handcontroller.....
Did it work OK before? Checked all the cable connection? Power to mount OK (no flashing red led)....

Thanks for the reply. Worked perfectly before. This happened without warning. Had a flashing light for a short period, but I brought the power pack up to full voltage and that stopped. No flashing light now.
Is a new controller available in Australia?

TASCO Sydney are the local agents for Skywatcher product, they should be able to assist.

You might be able to contact the same fellow I was dealing with at Tasco earlier this year to have my AZ-EQ5 gear mesh tuned:

A replacement hand controller isn't cheap, I would be trying a few things out before getting a new one. You can use a cat5 network cable (most modems come with one in the box) to see if its a bad cable, and it could also be the socket in the mount at fault. Best to try and borrow a hand set to determine if that's actually the problem.
