Wow, thanks for posting, so many complex and intricate parts its amazing.
How do they make them? couldn't do that with a lathe/mill.

So when someone decides to have a go at making something like that, how do they set about making the individual gears and cogs etc?

Anyone have any real thoughts on that?

Follow the links and there are Youtube video that show some of what they did.

Its a combination of traditional clock making and modern machining
I think all the fine metal filagree/skeleton stuff was probably water cut from brass or non ferrous sheet.
