NGC 6188 is an emission nebula located about 4,000 light years away in the constellation Ara. The bright open cluster NGC 6193, is visible to the naked eye is responsible for a region of reflection nebulosity within NGC 6188.
The emission nebula is found near the edge of a large molecular cloud unseen at visible wavelengths.

First image doing a complete RGB and Narrowband image. :2thumbs:

GSO RC 6
HEQ5 Pro Belt mod
ZWO ASI 1600mm
Lum 23 x multiple exposure = 90min
Red 16 x 5 min = 80min
Green 19 x 5 min = 95min
Blue 13 x 5 min = 65min
HA 10 x multiple exposure = 130min
OIII 4 x 15min = 60min
Total time = 8.6 hrs

That's awesome! again makes me so excited to use my RC6 (weather permitting) :lol:

Do you personally see a major difference in ability to take longer exposures with the belt mod compared to without it?

I do see a major difference. I was lucky to get 10min on my old gear worm drive, I stayed around the 5min mark. When I did a test with the belt mod. I can get around 20min on clear calm night. Really worth doing and tracking is smoother also.


But don't forget, this is my setup and I did spend time getting a very good PA.

Well we have almost identical setups so you've sold me :lol:
I can get 4-5 mins, with 5 minutes there is the smallest hint of streaking. I will be purchasing my belt mod tomorrow.
