Check the third illustration...something wrong there?????
Never thought of it before, but when you look at the back of the flag the Southern Cross is wrong....bumma!

Merlin I think you will find he flag is flying in front of the silo and not part of it and flying with the back towards the shot is that what you mean

Yes, The "rear" of the flag seen when it's sitting to the left of a flag pole, shows the problem with the Southern cross.....

Not really very wrong... just a bit slanted

You will just have to instruct the wind to fly in one direction,so that the cross on the flag is in the right orientation all the time. :P ;) Lol

These Pics are great. Thanks for sharing. It's nice to see Australian culture surviving on an enduring medium like this. Hats off to artists who can render stuff this big (by hand).
Reminds me of an article I read about Mexican cinema artists. They'd paint a new mural each week/month, etc for each new movie release. Perfect, original works, or just (excellent) poster repros, painted mercilessly over the top of the previous job. All for a few pesos a day...
Having done a graphic design degree, I marvell at this stuff. Totally out of my league...

Yeah but....
If the flag "symbol" is symmetrical then there's no difference front to rear......

Well, when the French flag flies "backwards", it becomes the maritime signalling flag for the letter "T".
Look at that region with a diagonal installed, and the orientation is exactly what you see..... :astron:
