Here's Jupiter, captured at IISAC2007 at Lostock, on the Friday morning about 5:10am AEDST.
It's the official start to my Jupiter 2007 opposition, and i'm pleased to be able to open my account with this image :) Ok, it's not great.. the seeing was horrible and Jupiter was only at 28°. The temperature dropped another 2 degrees right before dawn and thermals started influencing the image as well.
But it's a start, and there's some detail visible. I'm curious about the large brown patch, on the East (facing) side of the planet, just below the SEB.
Looking forward to getting out there and getting many more Jupiters this season.. it's only just begun!
250 frames stacked in each channel, mild wavelets in registax, LR deconvolution in AstraImage, Curves adjustment (and text) in photoshop.
Thanks for looking.
