I read a thread on Cloudy Nights where QSI was being sold to Atik. It was a while ago.

I checked the Optcorp website and it seems there cameras are on backorder.

Oh I just saw on their website they are resuming production. The last I read Atik was buying them for less than 300,000 pounds.

Seems like a bargain price.

I hope Atik can maintain the high standards the original QSI held.

There was an announcement a few weeks ago on QSI FB page that they have started shipping newly produced cameras. I was also informed that QSI will start putting ads in the Sky and Telescope magazine featuring some of the images produced by an amateur from Down Under.

Hopefully they will not only maintain the quality, but also improve on the design as well. BTW, Moravian seems to also have a good reputation and they are just releasing improved MarkII cameras with lower RN, better cooling and faster download time for all of their cameras. Since the Moravian offers integrated FW and dedicated OAG at a lower than FLI and SBIG prices, so this might present another interesting alternative for those who prefer old school CCD over new CMOS.
