Well, I'm still hoping I'll get something better if the gods bless me with a clear night.

But in the meantime, here's what I have so far - peeking from behind the clouds! It looks eerie this way don't you think?

Taken with Olympus C7070 wide angle digicam iso 400, 15 sec exposure, F3.5.

Well, it goes without saying I'm mightily impressed:D

Now, can I have my binoculars back please:lol:

Gee fanks Dennis :) ...I'll get months of mileage out of that ;)

But I must give credit where it's due - if he hadn't told me what settings he used, I would have spent the entire time fannying about with shorter exposures and missed the opportunity altogether.

Hey Matt

Don't worry; it’s also heaps better than my feeble efforts of the past few days too! You showed commendable restraint by the way - I tips me hat to you.

Cheers

Dennis

Yep - that's our Matt, a top bloke!

Incidentally, is that horizontal strip of light below the comet an airplane trail, or the light pollution from some earthly dwellings?

Cheers

Dennis

PS - Just noticed it appears behind the low clouds so I suspect they are airplane lights.
