Being that most of you lot are older than me, you may not know who she is, but if you've got teenage daughters, they'll most likely know :)
My wife and I went to see Missy Higgins in concert last night, at the Central Coast Leagues Club.
Was a good night, the concert was good. She played for about 80 minutes, all the favourites and hits.
I tell ya though, I don't miss going to the club.. went home smelling like an ashtray!
Anyway the concert was good fun. :rockband:

Mike......your going to make all the old farts (40 and over) on this forum feel bad now......thats about 80% of them.
You should probably mension Elvis Presley once in a while just to make them feel wanted........
I dont mind Missy......but I love delta Goodrem.....go Delta...lol
I'm the same Mike...I hate the smoke.....it makes my eye's itchy.
Smokers should be banned....shoot them all.

Tony, delta goodrem, what is wrong with you. I went to Ben Folds the other night, I listen to music by Nirvana, Nick Cave, Hill top hoods and many other current bands.
Listen to Elvis. Nearly 41 does not make one an old fart. Old is in the mind.:confuse2:
at least he didnt say brittany spears paul :P

Elvis!
Good God man, at 48 I would only listen to him under sufference.
Give me some Good Stuff. Hoodoo Gurus, Models, The Johnnys, The Smiths, U.K.Subs, Echo & The Bunnymen, The Saints, The Go-Betweens, Dead Kennedys, Sunnyboys, Dynamic Hepnotics.
I could keep on going for ages.:D
Please don't punish me with Elvis.:face:

Its also in the body when you wake up feeling like you've been run over by a brick truck on a Sunday morning after a night out with the boys on a Saturday :)

I'm with you Paul. At 52 I don't consider myself an old fart. Elvis was old hat when I was a kid. I feel priviledged to have had the opportunity to taste music rather than having it "served up" as it is today. The great thing about Missy is that she sounds Australian and great too something few have been able to achieve. For all you younguns (and old farts), get yourself a copy of John Mayall's 70th birthday concert DVD and listen to what old farts can do.

ZZ Top and the Tex Mex driving rythem is how I feel most days and its the way I like my guitar to sound (most times).
I am nearly sixty years old and only listern to tripple J and still only play Rock and Roll (blues and rock improvisational lead). But old age is real and it has some distinct disadvantages like people not realising you are indeed capable of partying hard, in fact harder than the new pretenders around you. Old age is a problem only if you dont know you have it.. moreover music is the true fountain of youth what else can make your body move so without direct physical contact.?? alex

Ving, If Kate Bush isn't your style try Sade, Lovers Live DVD. The recording quality is as good as it gets and she's not too shabby either. :P
